this is kinda weird question,ok i got my new wilson 1000 yesterday and got it all set and hooked up i think my meter is funny it shows 1.3swr when i talk it rises and shows my 29ltd classic is swinging 40watts,and the radio was peaked not cliped modulation turned up and i installed varible power, the best i ever got out of a 29 was 30watts should i not pay attention to the meter or take it out of line cause it is the same meter i used when the palomar 250 went out you ar fixing.i have all new jumpers, also i seen somthing funny i was going down the road and my meter fell on its side today and i had it keyed and swr went up to 2 when i put it back in its place it went back down and i changed jumpers to see if that was the problem and when i put it back on it side it did it again.thanks

Adding a meter in line WILL change the SWR. I suggest after thinking about this , you may try a 6 or a 9 foot jumper between the radio and the amplifier. Try it and let me know how it pans out.

well 307, there was a copper bar that runs across from 1 side of 1 board 2 the other side of the other board in my tc30001 dosy 1 side came out.i hot glued it in place and my wattage on my meter went back to normal, but my swr seemed to still go up so i got my amp back today and i put it back in line and between adding the amp and the new 3 foot jumper it holds a 1.3swr and it dont exceed 1.4. but when i had it in line before it was higher i think it had a little somthing to do with the short under the relay that you repaired all in all its working great.thanks again, now i am back dxing once again.
