ok, i have two radios that are displaying the same symptoms, (rci 2950,& dx 949) both were peaked and tuned and working great, then all of a sudden they quit transmitting, the finals have been replaced and also the drivers, on AM i get a very low carrier with no audio, no power showing on a watt meter but signal enough to hear it on a bench radio, and on sideband there is audio, but no signal. i have replaced finnals, drivers, audio chips, IF mixers, and IC 7 on both, with no results. Any sugestions? |

Sounds like bad finals maybe? You replaced them though. Hmm...must be antenna or feed line or both. Did you use a dummy load? Wow! 2 radios at the same time? Operator error? Go to a qaulified tech. |
