hello all...well, i had a few comments about the recieve on a S6 magnum, but i am still concerned about the sensitivity of this radio. 1mV is not so hot of a spec, and perhaps all radio's with a 1mV spec exhibit similar results..ie...no background static,(or very limited) just seems like the recv is deaf and only the close-by's or within a few miles come thru ok. this is not from what i have been exposed to over the yrs a sign of a "sensitive recv". i am thinking about trying a stryker radio; looks very similar but with different boards, layout etc. any comments? thanks again in dvance. |

Their is nothing wrong with the receive on the Magnum's but if you want to be disappointed, get the streaker, the specs on them from what they were posting seemed fine, but in reality from what I have been seeing is that they are over rated. I haven't tried a streaker, but I know my S9 has excellent received as compared to my other radio's. It's the main reason I put my S9 back in my Jeep was because of the poor receive on my other radio's and the excessive background noise they had. Wildrat CEF674 EGCCC |
