The amp meter shows how many amps you are pulling from the power supply. When you key up your radio, does the amp meter move? |

maybe a problem with meter, out of whack a bit? if the radio works fine, i wouldn't worry about it. my XL barely pulls 4 amps on my 40 amper. |

When you use a big power supply like a 35 amp and run a cb with it the meter will not move much being a 35 amp scale. A normal cb pulls around 1 to 3 amps while transmitting.Even less just recieving. Put a big 4 pill amp on it and watch the amp-o-meter swing when you talk! If the power supply is just sitting there turned on its not producing big amps. Its waiting for power demand. Hope I made sense. |
