I need help with this one my 148f is on frec. when on recieave but when i go to transmit it drops 10k on all channels. It has had no mods. It is not just the frec. counter i checked with my eagles and it is truely dropping |

I have a 148F from the 80s still NIB never used it lol I will have to find it first I know its here I dont think they still make them do they? Dave |

Bronzepony, If the transmit is off freq just use the course clarifier to get back to center freq while you key the mic. After that just fine tune the recieve. Also make sure that your 10 kc button is turned off! I have one of the 148fgtldx+ radios too!. They are awesome sounding in the audio department! |

Dave1, Cobra no longer makes the 148 FGTL DX type radios. I believe the Connex 4800 is pretty much the same radio being made today. Whenever I get the chance to get my hands on one for a reasonable deal I get it! One of the best ever made my opinion. Would not mind owning a stack of them! |

i found out the cobra 148f was made in 1997 i thought they were older but cobra says no. |
