Yes, as the Power Cord is designed to supply power to the Radio ONLY and eliminate noise problems in the power cord to the radio.

You would NOT be using the power cord filter for the power for the amp as you would want that power to come direct from your battery.

regarding the fan kit for dx500-NO

get a couple plastic molys(the things you stick into the sheetrock before putting in screws) that fit tightly into amps cooling fins, & get a fan, & use long screws & screw into molys. & you're good!

When I mounted my TS 500 in the Jeep with the mounting band, I just put the fan up to the band and drilled two self tapping screws thru two of the holes on the fan into the band. Works like fine, has not fell on my head yet. I have a picture of the Jeep radio in member pictures. It's not a close up,but you can see the fan.
