mic has a hum in it...not bad, but noticable it goes away when i touch the case of the radio...assuming its a mic problem because this is the only mic that does that, but i dont know, perhaps the shield came off the plug??? low battery maybe? |

Base or mobile? Using an amplifier? Sure sounds like RF getting into your microphone to me. When you touch the radio's case the RF gets grounded. |

it works fin with any other mic...even my silver eagle...no problems only my 452 |

Do not "ground" the transceiver. That would, maybe, just mask the problem. Is the antenna a reasonable distance from the transceiver? More likely...is there rf on the outside of your feedline's shield (assuming coax)? |
