im sure this has been asked a million times before, but what do i need to do, if anything, to make a kl 200p work on cb frequencies?

If you ored your KL-200P from Copper it will arrive ready to use with no midifications.

If you order it from somewhere else then you will need to convert it.

thanks for the welcome.
what do i need to do to convert it and also will i need to set the dead key donw to only like a watt or something, and how do i do that on a uniden pc 68 xl? this was scanned out of the back of the catalog that i bought it from it says something about removing a chip and i know what chip and can easilt remove it, but is that what i need to do to use it on cb freq.?

also, what would happen if i use the amp on a stock radio?

As for the AMP...I don't know. Go to the RM Italy site and look around...it MAY be good to go as is.. I DON'T KNOW for sure.
As for the radio you must be sure the dead key is at or below 2 watts to be safe. Look to the "Modification List" to the left. Find your radio and adjust the VR for AM power using a reliable watt meter. IF you were to use the radio stock (3.5-4watts?)it might work but NOT for long.

I have a KL 200P. I use a Texas Ranger TR966.
I run 3 watts dead-key into amp.
