I cut some coax into three foot pieces using the first one cut as a pattern for the rest, to make jumpers. Before going to the doctor I made up one jumper. When I came back I had a spoon full of peanut butter (creamy in case that matters). I made up another jumper. I put this jumper with the one I made up before going to the doctor. I ck'd both jumpers for shorts, cleaned them up with acetone and sandpaper. Now here comes the strange part. I picked up the jumpers and one was a foot longer than the rest. I measured the short ones and they are three feet, the long one is four feet. What happened, did I stretch the jumper when cleaning it with the acetone? Did the dawg pull on it while I was at the doctors? I'm confused! WildRat CEF674 |

Be careful with cleaning your coax connectors with the acetone not to get it on your coax insulation. The solvent will make your insulation solvent. WildRat |

Wasn't an eye doctor. 1/2 gallon might be enough, what I would do is wrap the coax up and put it in a bucket and poor the stuff over it, make sure it is covered with the stuff. Come back in about 6 hours and ck. the length. I don't think it was the acetone, but could have been. (Everyone else reading this don't do this) or you will need coax also! WildRat |
