Good Evening Everyone, I'm new to the forum so if I mess up please bear with me. My question concerns the proper way to set up my Galaxy DX 66. I seem to be having trouble with clear modulation. I like a little echo and I want it to have good modulation. It seems very difficult to find a good combination of both. Anyone out there have a similar set up and if so, how do you set yours? Thanks in advance for any help. Mike |

Get someone you trust to listen to you on the radio while you make adjustments. Channel 19 radio checks are very unreliable. Its amazing but many people do not really know what good audio should sound like. With mic against your mouth you should be clean and clear and no back ground noise. Turn back mic gain until your distort goes away. If that does not work try a different mic such as an Astatic 636 noise canceling mic. If problem continues you should visit a tech. As far as echo, it pretty much what you prefer to sound like. I like just enough to tell there is any. I set both my echo and echo time at 9 o'clock. Kenny CEF 491 |

I knew it.... Depends on what you've done to your radio? What kind of mic do you have? There are a couple of ways to achieve a good sound with this radio. I personally like the 66, but you know. Pat must be feeling good today...he's all over the place causin' trouble... |

I havn't done anything to the radio. What would you suggest to make it a real talker? Still running the stock mike also. Thanks. |
