It is with a sad heart that we make this post.
We have lost a Great Friend, Employee and CEF Radio Club Member.
Steve Noe
CEF #119 - CEF Ham #60 / W9NOE
1956 ~ 2005
Steve was a great guy who the 1st Sargant and I met back in 1975.
He was shot in the neck accidentally by a friend when he was only 16 years old and ended up a quad.
His Love and Knowledge of Radios and the Radio Hobby were unsurpassed.
Back in 1975 we advertised for a shop Tech and Steve called and applied for the job as our business was growing.
When the 1st Sargant and I met Steve he said I may not be much good with my hands but if you need a salesman I promise I can Out Talk and Out Sell any other person around.
He was 100% Correct and remained our faithful employee for 30 years working out of his home for us until he passed away this past week.
All those who have met him and talked with over the years will sadly miss him.

I am so sorry for the loss of Mr. Noe.
Now, Lon... Go have some fun on the radio in Steve's name and for his sake! Do what he no longer can and honor him in a way he would desire. Celebrate life, it is precious. |

I have known Steve on the radio for some years. I have missed talking to him since his turn for the worse several years ago, even before he started hanging out here on Coopers. Steve suffered much throughout life, but never complained. I use to write him emails in very large letters, just so he could read them better.
I miss Steve and I will continue to miss him. He was an exceptional friend. God bless his family and friends in their loss.

I think you are mistaken but this was not Steve Harlow / Ironmask CEF #100.
The GOOD NEWS is Steve / Ironmask is still with us.

I hate to hear about things like this.I am so sorry he passed away and sorry to hear how he was shot at 16 and had to live as a quad.I`m glad he had you Lon and Shirley for friends and my heart gos out to you both.
