why does klv use odd ball size fuses in there amps?The fuse blew in my klv 550 base amp and I can't find this size fuse any place what gives?I tryed the small 4 amp fuses and there not the same size.grrr |

Your Local Radio Shack or electronics store should have them on hand or Copper carries / stocks them.
That is the standard size that RM Italy uses in all of its amplifiers.
Stock up and always have spares

Looks like a standard glass fuse to me. Most auto parts stores carry glass fuses too, just watch the volts on them.

ok well ill try radio shack and see.if radio shack does sell them for my klv 550 it would be just a standard size 4 amp fuse?I hope so anyway.thanks |

A friend of mine kept having the KLV-fuse-blown syndrome. He ended up doing the "temp" aluminum foil repair and hasn't had a problem since. His rig hasn't caught on fire yet either. ;) |

My uncle recently blew a fuse in his KL
Amp and could not find the correct fuses in
our local area. He ordered them from Coppers.

I just went to radio shack to get a 4 amp fuse for my KL 550 base amp but the guy there said i need to know how many volt 4 amp fuse I need is it just a 4 amp 12 volt fuse or something other than that? |

I just went to the site that makes klv amps and the klv 550 is not 250 volts its 220 and radio shack does not sell a 4 amp 220 volt only a 250.what would happen if i put a 250 volt in and not a 220? |

Your amp will be working and you should have no problems.

The voltage is a max voltage rating, the fuse voltage must be equal or greater than the required. A lower voltage fuse has a higher chance of flashover, hence the max voltage ratings. |
