Since I have the tower now, my wife wants me to put it at the opposite end of the house, about 60 feet. Since the tower is at the other end of the house should I put the PolyPhaser by the tower and ground it there, then run my coax the 60 feet to the equipment. Or should I run the coax all the waay to the other end of the house, install the PolyPhaser, and run my coax on into the equipment. Thanks! Wildrat CEF674 |

Tech833 recommends the PolyPhaser be installed just prior to entering your house. Tim CEF-634 |

Wildrat, Install the PolyPhasers at the Point of Entry into your house. From the PolyPhaser Review: PolyPhaser recommends the coax, power, and telephone protectors, if used, all be mounted / grounded together on a bulkhead plate or wall and the equipment chassis also be grounded ONLY to this plate. The small tab on the Polyphaser unit can be used for this purpose if a copper ground bus plate is not used in the system. Simply connect a large gauge copper conductor from this tab to your ground rod. Use a minimum of 10-gauge wire for this conductor. Copper strap is best. The plate is then grounded to your ground system. Only by using this Single Point ground system can your equipment really survive a direct lighting strike. Hope this helps, Lon Tech808 CEF808 N9OSN

OK, What about the ground for the tower? I assume it will be grounded by the tower. I am excited about this tower! I have always wanted one, and now I got one laying on the ground. To bad you were not here Lon to share my excitement! Wildrat CEF674 |

I'm calling about concrete today, and going to Lowes to get the anchors, and a couple more ground rods. Wildrat CEF674 |
