Well I went to the Small tailgate at Chesters electronics in Largo,Florida that Bruce told me about. We missed each other there looking for each other. I did find some tower though. I am getting fifty feet of Rohn tower plus the three foot top section for $145. This sounded like a good deal to me. I x'd my antenna pole for Sunday and will put the tower up soon. Well Starface will be able to sleep in now. Wildrat CEF674 |

Yea, I was wanting to meet you Bruce, maybe next time. The club I am getting the tower from told me about another function the first part of December at the Manatee Convention Center. I guess I will be there too. He said they will be testing all day, everyday at the show. I don't think I will be ready by then for the test, but I may take it anyway just to get a feel for the test. I did get my study book in the mail yesterday, so maybe I will try to read it before I go. See Ya! Mark Wildrat CEF674 |

Congrats Troublemaker! I hope to test at that HAM Fest in December if nothing keeps me from attending. I just need to read and take test more before going. Well more good news I got a tilt base from a guy for 60 bucks. I also had my UPS package on my doorstep when I got back. Wildrat CEF674 |

OK, I will let ya'll know when I'm ready again. I need to get the son over here to dig a big hole now. I am in the middle of negotiations with my wife as to where the tower should go. So far the talks are not going well. I may have to order a new piece of coax. The location wife is telling me to put it is on the other end of the house from where I wanted to put it. I can't remember how much I got before, wether it was 80 or 100 feet. I'll have tosee if I can find my order from Copper and see how much I ordered. Ishould just order more for the inconvience of having to relocate my tower. See Ya'll Wildrat CEF674 |

Got a Question for ya Paul / Tech833 Or anyone else that can answer this I'm not going to do this but one has asked me and I couldn't answer. How would two antenna act it they where hooked up together with a T connector so they can run both omni and beam at the same time to the same radio? Like co-phasing two antenna but one being a omni and the other a beam. Till next time Starface CEF#476 Southeast Net Control Auburndale,FL

We have a location for the tower now, but I need to order somemore coax. Starface, it would probably work but would still need some type of co-phasing cable plus I think someway of tuning the two different antennas to each other then to the radio. I think th t connector idea would be a blitz though. You'll get another answer soon though from the techs. Wildrat CEF674 |

I did get an answer from Tech 291, he told me It would re-open the side and back door on the beam. there for having nothing more then an omni but maybe with more punch one way do to the beam, but I'm waiting for more answer's on this one ...but like said I'm not doing this, there not my plans Till Next Time Starface CEF#476 Southeast Net Control Auburndale,FL |
