Hi Guys, I need to stack (co-phase) two 4 element yagis flat side and incorporate my shakespear 2010 at our Orient Pirate club station.See my attached pic. What height does "Y" need to be for supporting the Yagis? I dont want the 24' alloy boom interfering with the yagis pattern. Also the vertical support for the 2010 is this ok in alloy? I need the top part of the "H" boom to made of alloy for strength. We have high winds at our club HQ. TNX 73 Tim 26 OP 141 Orient Pirate Radio Group |

Tim, From what I gather from your drawing,Your wanting to run the yagi's horizontal. It would make more sense to cut windload and torque problems by stacking one above the other on the mast.seperating them from 1/4 to 1/2 wavelangh apart.mounted that way the 2010 could be mounted on the mast directly above the upper yagi. tech291 cef#291 kc8zpj

291, Yes i thought of this too. However I thought the yagis had to be at least 3/4 wave apart to get the additional gain 3db? hence the 24' spacing?? If the yagis are too close sureley the patterns wont be any different to a single yagi??
