I have read in Copper's catalog as I'm sure many of you have about these IC Filter chips that when you install one in your radio filter out bleedover from nearby channels and I want to know if anyone has used them and if they really work.In the daytime and weekend hours we have a major bleedover problem with ch 6 and 11 so these would be a godsend if they really work. |

Bluegrass YES THEY DO .... however it the TRANSMITTER is dirty they will not do as much. CHANNELGUARDS do wonders for older radios like the lincoln and grants adding several "S" units of rejection at 2 or more ch away. I have them in my old lincoln my 2950 and grant LT and they are a blessing when your tring to hear thoes weak stations. |

I had a lincoln and it help it nicely now the only one still made is the 10.695 mhz one ( SADLY ) As for a S9 its SMT and it can be done but its a PAIN to do it ..... i added a guard in a HTX-10 .... not too easy to do unless you want to yank the first filter and replace it with 2 guards .......today ... Not worth it. TOO BAD the 7.8 is no longer made it works wonders in a grant. |
