Hi, I have this tvi filter (V10-05780 PDC 1089 Low Pass TVI Filter) it is rated at 1000 watts, does Copper have anything with a higher power rating, or should I just put this behind the radio and somewhat forget about one after anything else. Wildrat CEF674 |

Wildrat, Your TVI Filter should be connected DIRECTLY to your Radio. And your Radio, TVI Filter and the Amp should ALL have a gorund wire on each of them and the ground wires should ALL be grounded to a Single Point. Hope this helps, Lon Tech808 CEF808 N9OSN |

On the back of the radio before the amp is fine as long as the amp is NEVER overdriven. Any amplification device that is overdriven, be it AF or RF, will produce distortion in the form of harmonics. Whether they were there at the input or not. Now overdrive an amp with harmonics present at the input.... WOO-HOO, Messy stuff! Chad |

Yep, That's what I wanted to know. I plan on grounding everything to a single point ground, I'm even going to ground myself. Wildrat |

I will tell you what. I grounded TVI, amp and radio like described above and makes a BIG difference now! Cleaner audio, does not bleed over ANYTHING! |
