Copper folks.... We just wanted to know when the Magnum 257 "Blue Display" will be available? The old RCI 2950 in the mobile is going to get replaced with the new display Mag 257. I missed the last shipment to purchase one due to "Out of Stock" let us know when they arrive.... Thanks ! SilverBullet-215 PA |

Bullet215, When I talked with Sam Lewis this past Thursday he said he would not have the Magnum 257's until the end of the year. Lon Tech808 CEF808 N9OSN |

I heard that magnum is moving whole operation back to korea from phillipines so it is going to mid 2006 until operation is full scale operational. |

Crackshot, I just got off the phone with Sam Lewis Owner of RF Limited / Magnum International and he says the Factory in the Philippines Closed down about 5 months ago now that assembled the 257, Delta Force and Omega Force radios with the computers in them. The above radios only will be assembled in Korea. ALL of the other radios will REMAIN being manufactured at the same plants as they have been. MACHINES are VERY DUMB and it really makes no difference what country that machine is located in that assembles a radio as ALL of the parts / components and boards which are supplied by RF Limited / Magnum International remain the same. And ALL of the Magnum line of radios will be powered with Mosfet or the ERF2030 finals for power. And with everything going to SMT / Mosfet and new components the machines that assemble them have no idea what country they are located in weather it is the US, China, Hong Kong or Korea. The HIGH Quality Standards demanded by Sam for the finished product will remain the same. Lon Tech808 CEF808 N9OSN |

Well...I guess I'll have to wait for the new version with the upgraded components. Just like you said, with the quality radios they have been manufacturing in the past.. I'm sure they will be quality built when the new line of radios hit the stores for the public. Just keep us posted when they arrive at Copper! Lon thanks for the heads up... SilverBullet 215-PA
