I been cruising around on the internet, and I see that some CB shops carry portable, stand alone S-meters that are back lighted. I was thinking about purchasing one because it looks unique and different, and somewhat of a novelty. How is this S-meter powered?, and where do you plug into a CB radio?. For mobile installations does it require that it be powered by a cigarette lighter?, and for base installations, can this S-meter be plugged into a wall??. Thanks in advance. Wolverine. |

Wolverine, I looked up what I could find on this meter and it looks like with modification it can be added to most any analog meter type radio.the 12 volt power is only for the backlighting and in a base situation could be powered off an ac adapter or your cig plug in the mobile tech291 cef#291 kc8zpj
