I was just thinking about ordering a new Mic cause mine is getting a little beat up and the grille is dented in, and to my dissmay the Astatic 575 has been discontinued!! How long ago did this happen? Now I am going to have to have a big RED tear drop hanging from my mirror!! Oh well guess its time to move on and try some new things like the Road Devil! |

I think I am going to order one pretty soon here, I just wish they still had the M575! So if anyone just happens to have an extra one you can send it my way! LOL |

what would be a good astatic mic to replace stock superstar i was told it sounds muffled any ideas why that is happening thank karl |

Well now that the 575 is gone I would say the 636 or road devil would be great mics, the 636 is just noise cancelling great for in the mobile or at home I guess, the road devil is a noise cancelling power mic, havent used one yet but just ordered one so I will let you know how it sounds. |

My 575 M-6 is alomst 12 years old and still going strong. It's been a good, reliable mic through the years and different radios and still looks almost as good as new. I bought a new one a couple years ago when I heard they were going to be discontinued. It's still new in the package and will stay there until my original one gives up the battle. |
