I have a galaxy 73 that would not go to a certian band, when you put the selector on that band, it was just a repeat of another band. I found a loose plug benind the channel selector knob (it wasn't completely unplugged but just loose). It's been too long ago to remember any fine details, but I hope this will help. |

connecting a plug left unconnected at the factory is PART of the mod to convert from 10 meters to 'all bands'... |

I cant remember which plug it was, but who ever did the conversion may have not connected the plug well or it may have worked out over time from bouncing around in the mobile. Maybe his problem can be fixed as easily as mine was. Boatman, if you decide to get rid of your 88 i'll bet pat would love to have another galaxy in his collection. |
