CHECK IT OUT BY CLICKING ON THE LINK BELOW! Maco M-103C -HV 3 Element Dual Maxibeams FEATURES: Boom Length (ft) 11.5 Boom OD (inches) 1.5 Number of Elements 6 Longest Elements (ft) 19 Turn Radius (ft) 10 Surface Radius (sq. ft.) 4.5 Wind Survival (mph) 90 Tuning (Meters) 10-11 Gain (db) 11 Power Multiplication 20x Frnt-to-Back Sep. (db) 25 VSWR (adjustable) 1.5 Weight (lbs) 21 The M103-HV MAXIBEAM is a innovation in base station beam design which enables the Vertical and Horizontal to be assembled for either 10 or 11 Meters. For Example, using the charts supplied you can assemble the Horizontal for 11 Meters and the Vertical for 10 Meters or Reverse this or assemble both the same. It does not matter! The Vertical and Horizontal do NOT affect each other. Lon Tech808 CEF808 N9OSN

say hey lon, is this new beam?, a comet, or is it something new?? are you going to stack them, or just put up one?? the figures are the same for the comet is why all the questions!! lol.. are you just trying this, because i cant see the reason for taking down a 4 eleament full wave beam, and putting up a 3 eleament 1/2 wave beam?? just courious, but good luck in your adventure.. thehobo 274150 am monitor ch. |

Thehobo, Yes it is a Style of beams MACO is manufacturing. They have added the Vertical Elements to the M103, M105, M106 and M108 antennas with the Designation of HV for Horizontal & Vertical. And they still have the regular line of Flat side beams also ie: M103,M104,M105,M106,M108 for those who just want Flat Side Beams. Sorry but No, I will not stack them as I have never found a need to waste money on stacking any beams over the years. At our location anything works. After the Ice Storm and Wind Shear that broke the wires on the SE's and toppled our IMAX last year we even unhooked the 100' of coax from the Imax the wind took down and ran it thru the house and out under the garage door out to the Wilson 1000 Mag Mount on the Truck and still made contacts all over the us on the Sunday CEF Nets. I figure the best way and only way to find out how it actually assembles, operates and performs is to put it up and Test it and do a Review on it for the Copper Forum Members. All of my Reviews that I post in the Copper Forum are from Actual Testing and Use of the products under about every condition you can imagine. I will keep everyone posted as to the ease of Assembly, Quality, and Overall Performance of this Antenna from MACO. We will be setting it up with the Flat side set for 11 Meters / CB and the Vertical for 10 Meters. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH It also ARRIVED by UPS this Morning. Hopefully by next weekend Homeboy CEF #159 and Redman CEF #156 and Beerman CEF #322 will be able to get it up on the tower for me. Lon Tech808 CEF808 N9OSN

Capt_hook, Sorry but due to problems yesterday it looks like we will not be able to get the Maco's in the air this weekend. Maybe we can get the help and have good weather on Labor Day Weekend if things improve to get them in the air. Lon Tech808 CEF808 N9OSN

As close to 36' to the boom as you can get or as high as you can get it. The Verticle Element is 18' 3" Long/Tall which means the TIP of the Verticle Element will hang BELOW the Boom 9' 1-1/2" Don't forget a good rotor. Lon Tech808 CEF808 N9OSN |

Tech291 ~CEF291~and Yonv ~CEF456~ arrived safely at Lon and Shirley's to find open arms and hot coffee awaiting us..they took me to our favorite place for breakfast..yum yum..biscuts and sausage gravey..after breakfast we went back to Lon and Shirley's and the guys started the task of getting the Maco M-103C -HV 3 Element Dual Maxibeams up in the air. i was the picture taker and i also kept yelling Dennis u strapped on there ..(duh me i know my hubby does not climp a tower without the safety gear on )had to chuckle at me and Shirly ..neither one of us could stand seeing the guys up there.. my heart stopped my tummy churned..oh my ..but i had to realize ..Dennis does this all the time..he is like a monkey .well i kept that camera clickin away till the very end when he was ready to hang and slap that to the very top...i closed my eyes and clicked the shot..oops..did not get the pic of him toppin it ..what is that picture of..oh no the ground when i looked away ..after the completion of the Maco M-103C -HV 3 Element Dual Maxibeams the guys took a much needed rest in the shade .. as we all stood back admireing the work of the guys we (the wives) breathed much easier. then we got to test it out..w00t w00t..awesome Maco M-103C -HV 3 Element Dual Maxibeams and looks so pretty up there..now i know what dennis wants for Christmas. we had a wonderful thime at Lon and Shirley's ..they always open their arms and welcome ya to their home.. i did not want to leave ..but we hit the road the next morning to come back home..i did awesome in telling dennis how to drive but was never more tickeled when we got out of that rush hr traffic..and arrived home to the yapping of our sm doggie that missed us so very much ..makes ones heart warm when you visit great friends and return home.. looking forward to our next vist .. till next time |

Sounds great, now we need to hear about the antenna. I need a new base antenna and tower/pole since mine was destroyed in one of the hurricanes that passed by last year. Then of course I need help getting it up. Thats the only thing I miss about south Georgia. You could get on the radio and in few minutes you'll have all kinda help. Since moving to Clearwater you can't hardly find anyone to chat with, much less get help. See Ya'll Mark |
