Does anyone have a copy of manual and schematics for a Realistic TRC 449 am/ssb radio? I need this for a friend of mine. Thanks. Keith in Atlanta

Allagator, I have gone to radioshack.com. But where am I missing it on the site? I know they had a website listing all their radios and info, but I guess I am looking right at it then. Can you check for me and tell me where to click when I get on their site? Thank you very much!! Keith |

Allagator, I just went back on their site, went under product manuals, but the TRC 449 am/ssb was not listed. Does anyone know if this radio would be same as one of the other TRC radios? Thanks. Keith |

Yes. TRC 457 and 458. It's also similar to Robyn SB510D and SB520D. I believe Cobra 138XLR and 139XLR are similar also. |

All the radio that Viking has listed are the same radios, with one exception. The microphone gain on all the Realistic radios is on the circuit board and not on the front pannel, like President, Cobra, Robyn, Pierce Simpson Simba, Courier Centurion 40D and a few other radios that used the same uPD-858 chassis. I have The Sams Photofacts for the Uniden President Madison first model with the uPD-858 PLL, if I can be of any help feel free to ask. The first model Madison has the same chassis as the TRC-449. BTW: I have 2 TRC-449s in my collection, one like new and the other a parts radio. |
