Seen a few posts by others to include Tech833 that although your coax may show perfect on an ohm meter there could indeed be other problems with the coax. I understand one of these problems can occur by overheating the coax while soldering the pin and shield. So is there anyway of testing the coax OTHER than with an ohm meter, some way of seeing if there is any degradation, resistance or loss of peak performance with a meter or something. I have made my own cable and soldered them myself. My ohm readings are perfect and no shorts but wondering if all else is OK. Used LMR-400 for the run to the antenna (about 100') also made some jumpers with it but frankly they are VERY STIFF and creating difficulty setting everything up the way I want. Do I need to use the LMR-400 for the jumpers as well or can I use something a bit more flexible that will still handle the KLV-1000 amp without causing any interference??? Thanks for the help guys.
