I have a Pyramid PS-15K PS and lately whenever I hook anything to it, it goes into "Protection" mode. Someone told me that something happened inside and it has reveresed polarity. What went wrong and can it be repaired?

I wont say it cannot or does not happen but in 30 years in radio I have yet to see any power supply reverse polarity.

What happens if you hook a 12v light bulb to the supply? Does it still go into Protection Mode??

What is the actual voltage and current the supply is trying to put out- both with and without a load? That is does it actually put out 13vDC? Is the polarity at the terminals correct?

I finaly took out that power supply and replaced the transistors on the back of the unit. The transistors go for $1.75 each.Cheap fix after I figured it out.
