I have a 25 amp pyramid power supply that I use to run a small 2 pill amp. The power supply is taking spells of a relay clicking. I have determined that the relay swiches the power supply between high and low, by watching the lights in the meters. High and low what I dont know. My question is why is it clicking, and futher more, why is the relay even there? I took the top off the relay and it is a simple up and down relay. If you hold the relay down and key up the box, it works perfect. If you hold the relay up, and key up the box it still works perfect. Other than the brightness of the meter lights, I see no difference in operation. So I have positioned the relay in the up or high position so that I can use it for the time being. If you dont do that it clicks all the time. Why is the relay there, what is its purpose, and how do I fix it. Or will it hurt it to run it just the way I have it. Its not running hot as a result of what I did.
