It certainly is an interesting package for the price. Unfortunately MFJ doesn't really pursue the CB market and this microphone is no exception. Their information doesn't include the RX shorting function that lots of CBs need to function properly. There is an unused wire that might work, but I've never seen a report that it does and I haven't sprung the $100 to find out for myself because I already own two similar microphones (This microphone is probably made by Adonis for MFJ because it's very similar to the Ranger AC-7000U/D and Icom SM-10 with a few additional features specifically for Kenwood rigs).

If your radio is capable of receiving without having a pin shorted, then this microphone would work fine for your radio.

I have this mic on my Icom 737, and it is fantastic sounding. I receive complements on my audio all the time. There are 3 different mic jacks on this, one for yaesu, one for kenwood and one for icom, plus an equalizer and compression setup. It is a very good mic for the price. However they do not make a cable for anything except these radios that I know of.
