Subpart D--Citizens Band (CB) Radio Service
Sec. 95.413 (CB Rule 13) What communications are prohibited?
(a) You must not use a CB station--
(9) To communicate with, or attempt to communicate with, any CB
station more than 250 kilometers (155.3 miles) away;

if an FCC field agent ACTUALLY SHOWED UP at my door, i would ask him who he lost the bet to.
they dont want to come out, they dont have the staff to come out, and they really dont care as long as you're not interfering with a REAL radio service.
