hey 307, i was just wondering, what gear do you use? what kind of radio and mods etc... any amps? what antenna?

He uses a PRO-510 and a glass mount cellular look-alike antenna. LOL

ahahaha. I cant get enough of those uniden 510 pros with the cellular antenna. but the scanner antennas are always good. and the cobra19 dx's are always really good. |

hey, don't mock those pro 510xl's. i have one, lol
talks a good distance on a wilson 2000. perfect for the wifes car in the winter. thats about all its good for. |

I had a cobra 19 dx in my truck out 4 wheeling and I was keyed up talking on it and I go down a hill and bounce when I get to the bottom and I saw smoke coming out of my radio and the freq counter said I was on 298.96 mhz. I opened up the radio and the damn board was cracked down the middle. hahahaha suck junk. it made me laugh for about an hour cause its so cheap and It was only like $10 at a garage sale and I didnt want to use any of my galaxys in my truck or my decked out 148. so I thought the 19dx would be of because of its small size. I evened tightened down the stuff inside it. but not to muchc
so my final answer Regis is that its junk |

You are correct. With an efficient antenna system and quality components even the PRO-510 will perform well for what it is.

I'm seeing 15 watts out my pro510. Don't really understand why but it is the toughest little fart I've ever seen. |
