I recently purchased a Magnum Omega force from Copper.I am happy with the radio. It is a keeper. However I would like to get some more transmit audio. I tried a cobra M75 amplifed mic, and there was no difference. Can some one tell me what they have done specifically to increase the transmit audio on an Omega force. |

Dan367, Turn your radio to MTX and adjust your Mic Gain. Never had any problems with ours and the audio has always been LOUD and CLEAR. And throw the M75 mic away as the S-45 does not need an amplified mic on it with the Top Gun Modulator already built into the radio. Read your Owners Manual for more helpful tips on using the features of the Magnum OMEGAFORCE S-45. Hope this helps, Lon Tech808 CEF808 N9OSN |

Thanks Lon. However I was looking to get a little more transmit audio than that. I dont know if it is my radio or just the way the omega force is, but I get reports that I have "stock sounding" audio. I was wondering if any one has done anything else besides enable the the mtx modulator and turn up the gain. |

Dan367, We have had no problems with ours so far and all of the audio reports have always been the same, Clear and Loud when I use it Local or on the Sunday CEF Nets. On the meter I have ours set to swing between 90% and 100% Modulation using the STX Mode and the Mic Gain set at the #2 position. I only use the MTX Mode if I am talking with someone at least 30 or more miles away. It tends to overload others receive if we use it much closer. If all else fails give Sam Lewis a call at: 1-877-624-6869 Hope this helps, Lon Tech808 CEF808 N9OSN |
