I run one of these amps in my mobile and have gotten mostly good reports on am and sideband. It only shows to do about 300 watts pep on my cheap little meter with a 3 watt dk and 30 watts pep. At first I had problems with the swr’s, but was able to get them down after playing with the antenna and grounding. The pre-amp seems to work ok. I think it is a decent amp for the price. Good luck, I hope this helps. |

I have a nice one. Mine shows 500 on my PDC-600 with 1wDK to 35w Peak. The main thing is to run it on at least 4ga and replace the leads in the amp to at least 10ga.. Don |

Yea, I just got one today in the post, I got it because it seemed like a good price on the item on our glorious EBAY. Might be where the other rat saw it perhaps? I won't have it going for awhile. I have not even hooked up the S9 I recently aquired. I already have a TS DX500, but like I said the price was right. See Ya'll Wildrat |

I'm not commin' down on ya duck, but i dont see why you would need 4ga wire to power a small amp. I run mine with 8ga with a 40 amp fuse in line. If you really needed 4 ga wire, my little 40 amp fuse would have blown long ago. |

Got one here, 8 gage to the battery, 148gtl dead keying 5 swinging to 12, kits 450 on the pdc600 with no problems. Gets warm after a bit, but cooling fans cured that.
