Yep!...considering moving the S-9 to the base and re-fitting the mobile with a "6". Been told people are seeing well over 50w with a good tune due to the lack of sideband coverage and having to split the power. Don't really use SSB in the mobile ...not enough anyway.. ENJOY IT! Hank '905 CEF 559 |

what about the sunday nets? & just getting in & trying LSB 13 as well as AM 13. & LSB 38. &...you get the picture. if you use SSB base, you'll use it mobile. 50 watts AIN'T happening. for roughly the same cost, you could get an omega force, put that in the base & keep the S9 mobile. the magnums really need a dx500... |

I'm thinking of getting one for the mobile. Does any one have more input on the S6 and can you get it with the nitro lights? What would be the best mike to use with this radio? Thanks |

Intruder, Check out the Review I did on the MAGNUM S-6 Radio. MAGNUM S-6 REVIEW At this time Copper Electronics does not have the Magnum S-6 Nitro Express Radio as there just has not been enough of a demand for it. Hope this helps, Lon Tech808 CEF808 N9OSN |

Same here, thinking of moving my S9 to base operation although I have the 2995DX for that right now. Never hurts to have more than one base unit. Thinking of getting either another S9 or more likely the S6 for the truck... These radios really do kick, well you know. Thanks for the cheesey, cheesey! |
