I have a Texas Star 500 amp in my truck which I run with my 95T. I had a low power switch installed on the 95T so it can only put out 1-4 watts to the Texas and the Texas should do the rest. Problem is, no one can really hear me unless I turn off the low power switch and put 10 watts or so into the amp. This was actually working fine until yesterday when I was trying a new microphone, the 575 with tone control and turned up the power know thinking it was the talkback. My fault of course for not pulling over to make sure I did not do just that. My question is, can I change the burnt part (relay) or whatever at home with a mosdest knowledge of electronics and a soldering gun or should try to find someone to do this locally. Where do I go for the burnt part? The amp works except the needle doesn't move. This has happened before so I want to repair it myself until I get this ironed out. Thanks a million. |
