most likely the vco needs a slight adjustment.
when i say slight i mean it! vco's are tricky at best to tune and a small turn can cause big changes.
did you have this done at a shop?
did they realign the radio after the mod?
if you did the mod yourself i recommend borrowing or buying a freq. counter for this as it can be very frustrating.

The only 29 Classic that i've put a channel kit in requires slight re-adjusting of the VCO. Even then I couldn't make it cover all of the 120 channels that I gave it. If i remember right, I set the VCO so it would give all the lowers regular 40 band, and about 36 of the upper freq's. That was the best I could get it without replacing componints. I didn't feel that the added work to get the last 4 higher freq's was worth it so i let it be.

i use my yosan 200 channel walkie talkie. get the LOUDEST/SHARPEST squeal-PRESTO right on frequency. any multi band radio will do the trick, just keep mic gain down on xmit & rf gain down on rcvr.

the A+ kit comes with a capacitor and a diode.be sure you put both in the radio.with out the expansion diode you will not get all the channels either.be sure to keep the wires as short as possible when hooking up at the vco .I have had some that this made them act up on the ends of the freq ranges.
