hello gentlemen . I have a rci 2950 the problem is this when I turn it off than on the channel does not show up to the one it was on when it was off also when I use the channel selector knob it jumps 10 .5.20.freqs but when I use the up & down buttons it works fine .I was told the selector may need to be cleaned can I do this or could it be something else? the chan selector on those rigs have always been and will always be sloppy...as for the chan differance...memory battery maybe???...press on the top case of the radio with it on and see if anything happens, if it goes on the blink its a cold solder joint on ic5 or ic16...been there fixed that...lol |

On the 2950 with the 11 meter conversion it will always go back to the chanel that you get when you press man button. Press the lock button to get to your other chanel. If that makes any sense? If it comes on a different band when you first turn it on then your backup battey is probably bad. Semi |
