according to info i've read, if you can get your HF meters to calibrate, then it will probably be accurate on VHF..... |

In most cases to get an HF SWR meter to work on 2m you need to do some judicious re-wiring, like replacing several capacitors, making all RF carrying conductors a short as possible etc. It can be done and several years back QST (I think) ran an article on converting several Radio Shack meters to 2m usage. |

you can buy a cheep VHF meter for 30-50 bucks but i found that the JTWVUHF meter for $120 is good from 160 - 3/4 meters one meter does it all. Now it's not the only one but i bought it because it was made for radios like my FT-100 has 2 inputs one up to 6 meters and one 2 and 3/4 meters just like the radio is set up. Just my opinion |
