what are the advantages of one antenna over the
other and would there be any difference in their
performance?

The Maco Comet has a Quad reflector wire
which should give it alittle better rejection.
Other then that performance is probably
close to the same.
On the Maco HV3 you can assemble the horizonial
for 11 meters and Verticle for 10 meters or
Vice Versa. Or they can both be assembled to the
same meter band.

I see the last post here was in 2005. I would like to know the same thing. Has anybody got one since then? Is there a review on either, I can't find it? One of these seems perfect for my use. Seems rejection on Comet is better. If you got one how broadbanded is it? The HV3 could be fun too, if I tune flat side for SSB upper freq.s and Vert. for lower AM freq.s, wow got to do some thinking on these....

Thanks found it, never checked that area before. Think that is what I will go for, can set vert. for low AM talking, and Horz. for high side SSB DXing! Little longer than what I wanted for my location, but I can make it work!
Tnx!
