When i drove a tractor trailer across country years back i had a formac 700 radio in the truck. does anyone know if the company is still around or who built the radio? I know it was one of the best talking mobiles i've had. thanks nickle |

There is a Formac 40 on a "on line auction site" right now. IF you look it up and look at the photo on the back of the radio it just simply states Formac Inc. I would assume that the 700 was made by the same company. It looks like a Plain Jane type of radio to me. |

Formac is an export radio brand from WAAAAAY back. They were one of the first export brands back in the early '80s. I think they were a cybernet chassis export - like most of them at the time. I don't think they're in business anymore. |
