Travis55, Well "Whats Up" is the Magnum 257 is such a Hot Seller that Sam / Magnum International cannot keep enough of them on hand for the dealers. The Magnum 257 gives you the Most Bang the Buck and has as many if not MORE Features of any Radio out there in that price range give or take 30-40 dollars either way. When Sam gets them in then Copper will have them again. Lon Tech808 CEF808 N9OSN |

Travis, it'll be worth the wait if you can hang in there, I have the 257 as well as the 3200b,I'm very happy with the MAGNUM line, they are the only radios I've been able to reach Lon with! |

Has anyone used the New Cool Blue Magnum 257 mobile in a COLD state. Here in Wisconsin we get temps below 0 many times during the winter. I had an older amber display 257 a few years ago. That one would stop working if the temp got around freezing. Has Magnum corrected this problem with the New and Improved Cool Blue model 257? Thanks for your replies. 73 for now and God Bless, John CEF 507 |

I had the blue one in my truck last year. It was garaged in the evening but sat outside in the day. It did fine with temps in the single digits. As soon as the heater started blowing warm air it was stable and ready to transmit. Never had a problem wiht it in cold or very hot temps. |
