1.2:1 is NOT a bad SWR! The only thing you have to worry about in the VHF-UHF range is a good low loss coaxial cable. Yes, there is such a large spread between 27 mhz (CB) and 145 MHZ that you do need a different wattmeter for VHF. You might be able to get away with a 1.2-30 mhz SWR bridge on VHF. Just as long as when you set it, you can get full scale in the set mode. Marty KG6QKJ |
