I have a Voyage VR9000 and when I turn it on it will stick on a 30mhz frequency. After about 15 mins it will go back to 27mhz. Any idea of what might be causing that? No one else has been able to tell me. Thanks for your help, Snowman-404 |

Well , try this but I can not say for sure , however my thoughts say go for it... Remove the bottom cover and adjust the VCO (Tank coil with wax in it near the PLL)1/2 turn Clockwise , NO FARTHER....To get the wax out , heat up the tweeker (a little) you are using , it will go through the wax like butter..PLEASE let me know... 307 |

I will try that tonight ,but I won't be able to let you know if it works until it gets a little cooler down here in Louisiana. The radio will only do it when its cold.I'm kind of new to these export radios so any other info would be great. Thanks, Snowman404 |

I have another problem. Now when I turn it on it will do the same thing except it does it whenever I hit a rough place in the road . Then it will scan between 25 and 30mhz.I can push down on the top of the radio and it will work perfect.I haven't tried what you told me to yet. Thanks Snowman404 |

307, I looked over the circuit board and couldn't find any bad looking solder joints.Do you know any specific places to look, maybe somewhere I missed? Thanks 307& Tech 181 |

Tech 181, Yes, the radio does physically change frequency. I did buy the radio from Copper but I don't know if it is under warranty. They done the conversion and tune up.Would that void my warranty? Thanks, Snowman404 My new e-mail adress is Snowman_404@hotmail.com |
