ive just got a new metal cabnet and i dont want to drill and holes ! now ive got most of my radios in it now so i can keep it locked ! ( to keep the kids from touching them again )
now my idea was to use magnets to hang a mic holder on the inside of the door and a Big magnet to hold the antenna switch box on the outside of it !
now the question ? LOL
how big of a magnet can i use before it will mess up the meters or radios ??

Just a suggestion but if you remember from your visit here, I use Velcro Strips for things like that.
Cheaper than Magnets, try Menards or Lowes as they generally stock a good supply of different sizes.

Yup, exactly what I was thinking right up til I read Lon's post. LOL! That velcro will hold just about anything if you get the good stuff with the REALLY good adhesive. I had to put my stuff in a cabinet too, to keep the little hands away. It worked, now I don't even have to lock it because he knows now that those are daddy's toys. 
I do let him talk every now and then though, he's only 4 and can ask for a break with the best of em.  |

I would sugguest staying away from the magnet on the crane at the scrap yard.anything smaller will work.

OK 291 ill watch for it !!!! LOL
but the velcro strips work !
and ive found if you do put a small mag mount mic holder on there is makes the meter move to the side for some reason !
