Magnum 257 + 4 pill blue-faced Palomar Skipper = fuel guage shutting down every other time I key up! Car continues to run fine, but I get a ding-ding telling me I'm out of gas! It's a 2004 Chrysler Sebring.. I get the same problem on all 4 power settings... The Wilson 500 is on the trunk. Here's my question - if I place my antenna on the roof will it help this problem? |

I think placing it on the roof will help the problem. Ground the amp and be sure you are not overdriving the amp. These new vehicles just don't seem to be able to handle much power because of their computer and all the electronics. Here's a thought: how close is your trunk mounted antenna to your rear window defroster? I believe a lot of my stray rf when I had my antenna on the trunk came into the system right there. I used to notice the light that shows when the rear window defroster is on used to blink when I talked with the amp on at night. Definately try the antenna on top of the car. Mikefromms |

Everything is grounded well.. I used to run a Palomar 250HD 2 pill without this problem, so I definitely thing it's the RF power.. I'll move the antenna in the morning before my trek to work and see if that makes a difference. |

Oh yes - the antenna - well, it's on the edge of the trunk closest to the rear window.. |

I have a 2003 Pontiac. I run a connex 3300 with a Fatboy 5 pill connected directly to my battery, Wilson 1000 mag mount on the roof...I HAVE NO PROBS AT ALL. No lights lighting up, etc |

Cowboy bob,it is because it is a G.M.car and antenna is on roof,a friends chrysler did the same as above until he mounted antenna on roof, now if you moved your antenna to the trunk you would lose your cruise control then your computer leave it on roof,it would be costly trying to prove me wrong.Bigbob |
