Around what is the peak out put of one of these on 10 meter ssb mode. They rate at 800 but i know it can do more? anyone Know |

On 811's ........ my amp uses 3 811's and it will do 400 no problem as for full output 600 is realistic. |

the 811H I had would only do about 800-850. you could push it to 900-925 but to me it wasn't worth the chance of hurting it. at the time i had a clipperton that had 572s with an extra set on the shelves and swapped them for the 811's and saw right at 1k. i ran mine at around 700 just to keep it clean and nobody noticed on the other end. when i ran it to 900 by cranking the voltages up some, my neighbors started calling. hope this helps.... |

If you want big power then get another amplifier. The whole point of this amplifier is to get your signal in the same ballpark as a legal limit amplifier, but without the expense or power requirements. At 800 watts PEP it's only down about 1/2 S-unit from a legal limit amplifier, but you don't have to rewire your shack for 220VAC. I bought mine for the reasons above. I have no idea what it's maximum ouput is because I've never tried to reach it. |
