Just asking if someone knows the product manufacturer of meters and anilizers. I was thinking of getting an antenna anilizer from them or MJF, the Autek is cheaper but might be as good or better. Thanks, AP |

AP, I don't know about their analizers, but they have excellent meters out. I had an Autek WM-1 power/swr meter until lightning got it. It was a great meter. I have a MFJ analizer and have had it for about 10 years and I don't know what I would do without it. I hope this helps. Semper Fi!!! Harve Unit199 CEF210

Airplane1, Autek has been known for many years now by Ham's and CBer's for the Excellent Quality and Performance of their product's. We have used the WM-1 for roughly 10 years now and it has always been 100% dead on compared to the Bird. And a LOT Cheaper than buying Slugs for the bird. We also use it to set the Dosy and other Meters our customers bring in to have adjusted. And you cannot hurt it if you are checking a 4 watt radio and forget to change the setting's and flip a switch and throw 2000 watts into it. Actually the only problem we ever had was when someone broke into our shop about 6 years ago and Stole it. In less than 48 hr's we had another one overnighted to us. Lon Tech808 CEF808 N9OSN |

Just got off the phone ordering the WM-1 meter, and had a quite a long chat with fella. He used to live over here on Clearwater Beach. He moved to Wesley Chapel where he has 10 acre and all kind of antennas. He said I was the first HAM to buy a product from them in Clearwater, I told him I was a CB guy, and then he started asking me questions. Really nice old fella I talked too. Wildrat CEF674 |

I got my meter. It's not real fancy but I like the remote head. I have a very old Rat Shack meter like that, it's not very accurate but I always liked it because I could move the meter around easily without dragging cables all over. Now I have the Autek that I can do the same with, except it is accurate. I also like the continuous SWR read out and the lighted meters. Wildrat CEF674 |
