This has been the longest 2 1/2 weeks of my life. got the KL-203 today. run all the power wires from the battery, hooked up the Amp and wahla....it doesn't work right. some relay inside keeps hanging up. it does not want to go back to recieve mode. let it sit there for awhile and then it will recieve. go to transmitting and it works a few mins, then back to hanging up.. |

Carls86fiero, What kind of radio are you using it with and what is your Dead Key Power set at? Have you checked to make sure the Jumper you are using is Good? How long is the Jumper you are using? Did you pruchase it from Copper? The more information you can give us on your set up the better chance we have of trying to help. Lon Tech808 CEF808 N9OSN |

Oh and another thing is when i key up you can hear the relay come on, but when you unkey the amp stays on. if i key it several times quickly it will release and go back into recieve mode. on both am and sideband. |

Check your grounding, There could be an oscillation causing the amp to think it's seeing input thus holding the TX relay closed, it's a common problem I hear |

Your jumper is toooo short. Already been through this one with my 257. The Copper tech told me 9 foot from radio to the amp, and it has worked since. It is something to do with an impedance mismatch -that is more criticall with come radios more than others, 9 feet, |

Lon tuned my M-257 minimum output down to about 1/3 watt, that is where I turn it for operation with my amp. 2 watt works, but I get better reports from the 1/3 - 1/2 watt output. |
