I want to assemble my old Long John Five Element with it's 24 ft long boom. Trouble is I haven't got the plans anymore. I contacted Hy-Gain and was told they don't support any of the 11 meter stuff anymore. Can anyone help me with the Dimensions?

Most antennas will have marks on the parts from when you had it up last ....... since the elements on a simular beam should be close in length see if you can find a 5 elm maco and start with that ........ and if it looks good crank the clamps tight!

Longjohn assembly directions or where you
could even locate them...Hummm

Bruce,

I e-mailed him the Maco 5 element assembly
directions to try.
I tried locating Longjohn specs, but, just
can't locate them.

Thanks but my boom is only 24 feet long. So I can't really go with 26 foot long Maco.

Decrease spacing by 6 inches between elements,my gosh, that should get you in the ball park, just remember that a cb antenna is just that, rear rejection will suffer in the higher freqs.(free-band)so keep that in mind.Bigbob

That small change in boom length should not mean that much as far as the elm length i still think the maco will be close enough.
