Does anybody know what the problem might be??? I have a galaxy 44 on my 18-wheeler and when you turn the echo/talkback on and start talking after 20-30 secs you can hear on the talkback bursts and a lot of squall. (I already checked and changed the coax, the antennas, tried different mics everything seems to be ok) what else can i do??? please help. |

Duxall, Where are you getting your power from for the radio? Where is your radio Mounted? Where do you have your radio grounded? What kind of Tractor are you driving PETE/KW/Freight (day cab) or conventional? Are your antennas Mirror Mount or Cab/Tractor Mount? Are you using STOCK Antenna Coax (pre-installed) from the Factory? How far is your External Speaker from your radio? Any one of the above or a combination of several of the above can cause your problem. The MORE Information you can give us the better chance we have to help you with your problem. Lon Tech808 CEF808 N9OSN |

ANSWERS: 1.I have a wire (positive/negative) from the battery I don't know the size of the wire but is not thin I think is 10 gauge. 2.The radio is mounted on center/top of the cab (factory base) 3.I have no ground on the radio. 4.98 international conventional. 5.The antennas are mirror mount. 6.The coax is wilson brand silver color clear cover 18ft. co-phase 75ohm. 7.The speaker is about 3 feet away from the radio. I've had this setting since last december with no problems at all. The problem is about 3 weeks old. Thank you for your comments! |
