Lon: If I move from my KLV-350 2-Tube, to a Solid State KL-203 amp, do I maintain the 9' jumper from the Magnum to the Amp? That's roughly a 1.4 wave and makes sense, if it worked on the tube =that it should work on the pill.. |

Crackerjack, You will need to find out what length of Jumper works best with your setup. All stations and set ups are different and different lengths work better on different setups. Hope this helps, Lon Tech808 CEF808 N9OSN |

Crackerjack, Use what ever will give you the lowest SWR and best performance. The length will also depend on how far your Amp/Meters are from your radio and your station setup. At our station we use 6' jumpers of RG213 due to the fact that all of our equipment is between 4' and 6' from the MFJ 1700B Antenna/Transmitter switch control that we have the Antennas/Dummy Load and radios connected to. If you used a 9' jumper before and your SWR was good use it again or you can try a 6'. Hope this helps, Lon Tech808 CEF808 N9OSN |

Ok, I have enough coax to cut some new jumpers -never hurts to have a couple extras hanging around. Thanks. |
