I have a galaxy dx 33 hml "cb" and im using a black cat 300 HD. My ? is when i am running my amp when i let off the key it sticks and i cant hear anyone it started out just being a slight delay now its sticking and i have to keep keying down the mic to get it unstuck. I have changed jumpers from a 3ft to a 6ft to a 9ft and nothing helps. it doesn't have a switch for side-band either. the amp is only about 3 months old. any input would be highly appreciated . You are running three feet of cable transmitter to radio -aren't you? Copper's Texhs showed me some documentatuion where a 9 foot coax run to the radio eleviates a mismatch that causes that problem. I feet to the amp. But 9 feet total. I run 9 feet to the AMP and 3 to the meter. Works either way. This also improved my SWR.

COAX IS COAX! RG-58 RG8 RG8X RG213 ARE ALL 50 OHM COAX NO MATTER WHAT LENGTH YOU USE. AS FOR YOUR RELAY PROBLEM CHANGE IT OR POP THE SSB CAP OFF OF IT |

Sorry CP, I have had amps that just would not release the relay with a specific length of coax between the radio and amp, on one I had to use 3ft, nothing else would work, on another 9 ft was the key, you gotta experiment! RIch |
